PROFILE
Property Brokers International is a real estate business founded by Matthew Ibadin. It offers a range of products and services to local and foreign-based clients looking to investigate, secure, buy, sell, or rent property in Nigeria.
THE CHALLENGE
The brand was transitioning from a sole proprietorship into a full-fledged corporate real estate business with a clear brand image, proper record-keeping systems, and a voice independent of its founder.
Brand assets were scattered and not stored in a central location, resulting in lost assets such as social media pages, passwords to critical tools, and other important files.
The brand needed a system to track contributor entries and work progress in real time to coordinate the launch of its magazine’s second edition. It also required a low-cost system to track and assign tasks.
Additionally, the brand needed a strategy to adapt magazine content for a social media-native audience, while the CEO needed support to optimise and reposition his personal brand on LinkedIn.
WHAT I DID
I established and maintained brand voice by editing press releases, past content, business presentations, pitches, and other assets to ensure consistency and authority building.
I gathered all brand assets into one central hub for easier access and created a new record-keeping template to document meetings, tasks, and decisions.
I developed an editorial calendar that made it easier to track contributors’ work progress and approve or reject versions.
I collaborated with the Operations and Tech teams to build a tentative task tracker/project management system that improved task assignment and progress monitoring.
I also proposed a content marketing plan aimed at positioning the brand as a recognised authority that could be monetised through paid live and virtual events within one year.
THE RESULTS
A pitch I co-created and co-presented helped secure a multi-million naira consulting deal with Globus Bank.Brand assets became easily accessible for both remote and on-site teams.
The task tracker saved the company ₦130,000—₦300,000 in monthly project management software subscription costs.
Documentation and record-keeping became simplified, and improved accessibility made information recovery much easier.
This made operations smoother and helped keep the CEO and teams aligned.
The editorial calendar and sheets-based task tracker streamlined task tracking and made communication between teams more efficient.
